FOTOCLUBISMO

FOTOCLUBISMO

The first of which is positive news has happened in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, in 1918, the first Brazilian club picture: the "PHOTO CLUB HELIOS.

HISTÓRIA DO FOTO CINE CLUBE BANDEIRANTE (FCCB)

The store, ANTONIO GOMES DE OLIVEIRA BASTOS CORDEIRO LOURIVAL and also practitioners of photography, was the site of frequent discussions about equipment and photographic materials, and exchange of experiences among photographers and amateurs. Previously, there had already been a first attempt to form a photographic club in Sao Paulo. The year was 1926, and was called Sociedade Paulista de PHOTOGRAPHIA that unfortunately did not survive for long. This company came to edit a magazine of good quality, shadows and lights, but ended in 1929, shortly after his first public exhibition. Although there was no environment for a "photo-art, few believed in it and the art critics do not admit as such ... Only 10 years later, São Paulo posted again think of the new company. They used to meet in the "Photo-Mistress" - a photographic supply store in St. Benedict Street, owned by Antonio Gomes de Oliveira and Bastos Cordeiro Lourival themselves early practitioners of photography. One of these patrons was Jose Medina, who waves the PRK9 - broadcasters, had a daily program on photography - "Instant Air" - which gave advice, announced the news, commenting on the photos sent by listeners and promoting the contest. The meetings each afternoon in the "store Gomes," these fans showed and discussed their experiences and photos, cameras, lenses etc.. Until one day, no one knows who started the idea, decided to found a new photo club. They opened up lists of accessions and to achieve the minimum number considered necessary - 50 members - convened to the General Foundation for the night of 28/04/1939, Portugal in the hall of the Club, the Building Martinelli, kindly.

Yalenti (autumn). But then came World War II, and their difficulties eventually reached the Photo Club. The photographic material did not reach the shelves, since there were major restrictions on imports, and practice of photography was prohibited in several places. To resist, the Club had to take some steps, one of which was to move the seats to a smaller place, a decision reached by the founders, who at that time took over ...In 02/1940 the club moved to two small rooms, at Rua São Bento, 357 - 1st floor, building on whose ground floor was the store Fotot.03/10/1942 - 1st PAULISTA HALL ART GALLERYThe completion of the first salon of photography is presented as a way to escape the crisis caused by World War and at the same time draw the attention of the press and interested in this art.
The exhibition took place in "Hall Adams Jr.," Gallery of Prestes Maia, low in the Viaduct do Cha, and had the support of the Municipality of São Paulo (PMSP), which collaborated with the impression of your catalog. Despite the name, the show was national, were also part of it, for the first time in the country, photos of foreigners, in a section called "Good Neighbor".These photos, which were out of competition, were invited Argentina, the Photo Club of Concord and Rosario. This first room served to reaffirm the name of the Photo Club, because he had a great response in the press. Later this year was elected chairman Eduardo Salvatore, whose administration began in January 1943.

Salvatore encouraged internal activities and participation of club members at the Salons International, which earned several awards for "pioneers". In the second room in November 1943, a novelty: for the first time, opened a place for press photographers, affiliated to the Associação Paulista de Imprensa. These photographers were able to show their work in "Stand José Maria Lisboa".In November 1944 was the 3rd room, already with international scope, with eight participating countries, including the United States of North America and England. Thereafter, the Hall would always be international. As early as 1945, with the entry of a group of amateur filmmakers, created the Department of Cinema, with the direction of Jean Jurre Roos. The club changed its name to the Foto Cine Clube Bandeirante, and had to think about changing the seat, since the former was small. Thus, in 1949 is moving to its own headquarters. This enabled the creation of the first courses in photography and cinema in the country ...

Antes e Depois do Bandeirante
Before and After Bandeirante Of course, all these achievements have earned great prestige for the Foto Cine Clube Bandeirante. His greatest fame stemmed, however, new concepts that brought the Brazilian artistic photography, being treated to large groups of other photographic innovators, such as "Fotoforma" in Germany, the "compass" in Italy, the "group THE XV ", in France, the La Ventana, Mexico. Indeed, to be founded Foto Cine Clube Bandeirante in 1939, the Brazilian photography, as indeed in most societies, photographic salons and exhibitions around the world, still prevailed the classical concepts and processes as "artistic" as bromóleo, gum bi-chromate, etc. Carbras. It was the "pictorial" greatly influenced by the academic painting: the landscape in the middle tones, soft, still life, portraits of "old bearded men" who had his great herald in "Photographic Societ of America - PSA and Brazil, the Photo Club Brasileiro, with JOÃO NOGUEIRA BORGES, HERMINIA NOGUEIRA BORGES, WAR DUVAL, DJALMA GAUDIO, JAYME H. TÁVORA, BELLINI de Andrade and others. In Sao Paulo, the Bandeirante, were exponents of this "school", among others, VALENCIO DE BARROS, HEITOR DE ASSIS PACHECO, Carlos Quirino Simões, ISMAEL ALBERTO DE SOUZA, WILLIAM MALFATTI, WALDOMIRO MORETTI, SUNDAYS BUSNELLI, CLAUDIO PUGLIESI, HENRI E. LAURENT, S. PLINIO MENDES.

EXPOENTES DO FOTOCLUBISMO

And HERRERA CAPPELLO revolutionize photography in color and unique processes of altering at pleasure the original colors of objects, Solarize negatives in color and making color photograph from negative black and white, a global primacy ... Were the years of major disruption in the national picture, looking for new ways of expression and more specific language for the photo, leading to the conversion of reluctant scholars such as Jose Oiticica Filho, until then the artist-photographer in Brazil's most prized contests cameras in the country and abroad. With his "recreations", Oiticica came to swell the current abstractionist and concrete was at its height in 1965, when the Foto Cine Clube Bandeirante obtained from the VIII Biennial of Modern Art to create a room specially dedicated to photography. All these "isms" and those who succeeded them as the "super-realism," "art-pop", etc., are saved in the Bandeirante and dueled through their internal competitions, seminars, lecture, journal articles in Photo-Cine, making it the great forum of discussion of Brazilian photography. Also in the movie business the club has shown great filmmakers, among them, Benedito J. DUARTE would become an international name in the documentary Medical Scientific; JUNQUEIRA GERALDO DE OLIVEIRA, J. THOMAZ FARKAS, CÉZAR Yasbeck, ESTANISLAU SZAKOWSKI, ABRÃO BERMAN ... With all this movement, began at last to drop the barriers that were opposed to artistic photography, art critics began to look at it more carefully, museums and art galleries began to open up to her ...

03/07/1951 It was a group composed of twelve love for photography was willing to create a club for people who, like them, they used photography as a form of expression. Thus, at a general meeting held in the auditorium of the Correio do Povo, the PHOTO-CINE CLUB GAÚCHO was founded by John STELKENS JOSÉ ALBERTO, ALBERTO JORGE DE CASTRO FARIA, BRUNO REIMANN, FRANCE FURTADO NELSON, ERNI BRUNO GUTTLER, ARNO RÜDIGER ANTONIO, JOSE MACHADO DE OLIVEIRA JR, RICARDO HELMUTH BERGER, LUIZ CARLOS SERRANO, NESTOR IBRAHIM Nadruz, Ortwin SAUER, and Paul DERLY STREHL. Previously, Porto Alegre had witnessed the creation and dissolution of the PHOTO CLUB HELIOS, a division of the Society of Gymnastics capital city, and one of the first clubs of amateur photographers in the country. At the time of the founding of Photo-Cine Clube Gaúcho existed the Association of Professional Photographers of Rio Grande do Sul - AFPRGS. Being directed to professionals, the AFPRGS did not address the interests of amateur photographers. Thus arose the Club, as an offshoot of that association, created to meet the needs of those who did not live photography, but it was used as a means of artistic expression. Since then, the Club has trained more than 4,000 students. The vast majority of associates is comprised of physicians, dentists, engineers, architects, who see photography as a hobby taken seriously. Many photographers who currently work professionally also had their first lessons on the premises of the Club, as LUIZ Achutti, VARELLA RUY LUIZ ABREU, MYRA GONÇALVES, LÍGIA BIGNETTI, ANDRÉ CHASSOT, AMAURY FAUSTO. The fiftieth anniversary of Photo-Cine Clube Gaúcho should be a moment of reflection about the importance of clubismo as movement. Because without a doubt, the clubismo played a key role in the spread of photography and its recognition as art in Brazil. The Photo-Cine Clube Bandeirante, for example, assisted in the change of mentality. The Paulista School of Photography, which introduced modernism in Brazilian photography in the decade of 50, caused a break by modifying the way to see and compose the image. Unfortunately, the clubismo currently does not have many fans in Brazil. This may be due to the popularization of compact cameras, or the high cost of materials and equipment that make it difficult to maintain such an expensive hobby for amateurs ...

Photography is a recording technique using mechanical and chemical or digital, of an image in a layer of material sensitive to light exposure, known as its support. The word derives from the Greek words [fossil] ( "light"), and [graphic arts] ( "style", "paintbrush") or graph, meaning "drawing with light" or "representation by means of lines", "draw".
Language photography
By their nature, photography is a tool or object of study of visual anthropology, as iconographic representation. The icon sets as Charles Sanders Peirce, the image representation means. According to Roland Barthes and the picture is a picture, she owned a denotative and connotative language, or the obvious and dull. The language that suggests the obvious: everything you see in the picture, everything is clear. The connotative is blunt: all the information implicit in the photograph. The framing of the shot, the positioning of the camera, higher or lower down give an idea of superiority or inferiority. All this information is connotative of photography, which usually reveal the social and cultural baggage of the photographer, his studium (Barthes).
ImagersMost
commonly a camera or camera obscura is the image forming device and photographic film or a digital storage card is the recording medium, but there are other methods. For example, a photocopy or xerography machine, forms permanent images but uses the transfer of static electrical charges rather than photographic film, hence the term electrophotography. In rayographs, released by Man Ray in 1922 are images produced by the shadows of objects on photographic paper, without the use of camera. And you can put objects directly from the scanner (scanner) to produce pictures electronically.
Photographers control the camera to expose the photosensitive material (film or digital sensor CCD / CMOS) to light. After processing, this produces an image whose contents are acceptably sharp, bright and composed to meet the goal of shooting.
O controle inclui:
a) Foco
e) Sensibilidade do filme

The control includes:
a) Focus
b) Lens Aperture
c) Exposure time (or speed of the shutter opening)
d) Focal length of objective (tele-objective, zoom or wide angle)
e) Film speed
The controls are usually interrelated, for example, the brightness is open multiplied by the speed of opening the shutter, and varying the focal length of lens afford to be more control over depth of field photography.
Uses of photography
Photography can be classified as a technology of making pictures and attracts the interest of scientists and artists since its inception. Scientists used their ability to make accurate recordings, such as Eadweard Muybridge in his study of human and animal locomotion (1887). Artists also interested in this aspect, and also tried to explore other ways besides photomechanical representation of reality, as the pictorial movement. The military, police and security forces use photography for surveillance, identification and data storage.Aerial photographs were used to survey the land use and planning of a particular region.
History of Photography
The first known photograph is an image produced in 1825 by Frenchman Joseph Nicéphore Niépce, a pewter plate covered with a petroleum derivative called bitumen of Judea. It was produced with a camera, and required about eight hours of exposure to sunlight. In 1835 Daguerre developed a process using silver on a copper plate called the Daguerreotype.Aerial photographs were used to survey the land use and planning of a particular region.

Almost simultaneously, William Fox Talbot developed a different process called calotype, using paper sheets covered with silver chloride. This process is very similar to the photographic process in use today, as it produces a negative that can be reused to produce more positive images. Hippolyte Bayard also developed a method of photography but delayed announcing it and was not recognized as its inventor. The Daguerreotype proved more popular as it responded to the demand for portraiture emerging middle class during the Industrial Revolution. This demand, which could not be met in volume and in cost by oil painting, must have given the impetus for the development of photography. None of the techniques involved (the darkroom and photosensitivity of silver salts) was the discovery of the century. The camera obscura was used by artists in the sixteenth century as an aid to sketches for paintings, and photosensitivity of a solution of silver nitrate was observed by Johann Schultze in 1724. Recently, the modern photographic process suffered a series of refinements and improvements on the grounds of William Fox Talbot. The picture has become for the mass market in 1901 with the introduction of Kodak Brownie camera and, in particular, with the industrialization of production and film development. Very little has changed in principle since then, and the color film to become the standard, the auto focus and auto exposure. A digital recording of images is becoming increasingly prevalent, as electronic sensors become more sensitive and able to provide definition in comparison with chemical methods. For the photographer lover of photography in black and white, little has changed since the introduction of the Leica camera 35mm film in 1925.
A photograph in the daily life
and Photography can be used in the investigation of the daily lives of our students, so that the images obtained by the school, family, neighborhood, city and things that surround them, they are guided through a specific methodology for analysis and study of these "moments documented and their correlation historical, social, geographical, ethnic and economic, education, the mere availability of technological apparatus, not to facilitate the teaching-learning process. It is necessary that the teacher combines the technological resources with their knowledge and teaching strategies to achieve an objective: meaningful knowledge.
Photography in black and white
The photograph was in black and white, or rather, black on white, in the early nineteenth century. From the earliest forms of photography that became popular, like the daguerreotype, about the 1830s, to the black and white movies today, there was a lot of developments in technology and lower costs. The current movies today have a wide range of tone, even more than the colorful, resulting in pictures that are very rich in detail. So photos taken with PB films are superior to color pictures converted to CP.
Meio tom
Halftone
The black and white photographs are characterized by a wealth of passages from hues, the color photograph, however, does not properly capture the subtle nuances of tonal changes. We can say, therefore, that the black and white photography is more appropriate to capture mid-tones. In R & B takes advantage of light and shadow effects to make it the most beautiful, so that there are people who shoot only black and white even with the advent of digital equipment. Thus, it is something that precipitated the debate put in check the chemical processes black and white front of the digital technology.
Fotografia colorida
Color photography
Color photography was explored during the nineteenth century and the early experiments in color could not fix the photograph and prevent the color from fading. During the middle of this century emulsions available were not yet fully capable of being sensitized by the color green or the red (total sensitivity to red was only achieved with complete success in the early twentieth century). The first permanent color photo was taken in 1861 by the physicist James Clerk Maxwell.
The first color film, Autochrome, just hit the market in 1907 and was based on dyed dots of potato extract. The first modern color film, Kodachrome, was introduced in 1935 based on three colored emulsions. Most modern color films, except Kodachrome, are based on technology developed by Agfacolor in 1936. Instant color film was introduced by Polaroid in 1963.
Color photography may form images as a positive transparency, intended for use in slide projector (slides) or as color negatives, intended for use in creating positive color enlargements on specially coated paper. The latter is now the most common form of color photographic film (not digital), due to the introduction of automated photoprinting equipment.
Fotografia Digital
Digital Photography
Digital photography is a photo taken with a digital camera or some cell phone models, resulting in a computer file that can be edited, printed, sent by e-mail or stored on websites or CD-ROMs. Traditional photography was a considerable burden for photographers working at remote locations (as the correspondent of the press) without access to production facilities. With increasing competition from television, there was an increase of pressure to transfer images to the newspapers soon.
The CCD sensor that replaces the film in the cameras digitais.Fotógrafos in remote locations would carry a photographic minilabs with them, and some means of transmitting their images over the phone line. In 1990, Kodak introduced the DCS 100, the first commercially available digital camera. Its cost precluded the use of photojournalism and professional applications, but digital photography was born.
In 10 years, digital cameras have become consumer products, and probably are gradually replacing their traditional counterparts in many applications because the price of electronics drops and the picture quality improves.
Kodak announced in January 2004 that will not produce reusable cameras 35 mm after the end of this year. However, the photograph "net" will last, because the amateurs and skilled artists preserve the use of traditional materials and techniques.
In digital photography, light sensitizes a sensor called a CCD or CMOS, which in turn converts the light into a digital electronic code, an array of digital numbers (table with the value of the colors of all pixels in the image) to be stored in a memory card. Typically, the contents of this memory will later be transferred to a computer. It is also possible to transfer data directly to a printer, to generate an image on paper without the use of a computer. Once moved from the memory card, it can be erased and reused.
Virtual Albums
With the popularization of digital photography, there were sites on the Internet specializing in storing photographs. Your pictures can be viewed by anyone on the planet. They are organized in folders and can be separated by topics of your choice. The Virtual Albums can be used for various purposes, here are some:
Portfolio
Widely used by amateur photographers / professionals to display their work.
Armazenamento
Storage
Who does not want taking up space on your hard drive can use the album to store your photos.
Business
Others use the albums to sell your photographic work.
Fotojornalismo
A informação é imprescindível.
Photojournalism
Photojournalism meets a clearly defined function and has different features. The impact is fundamental. The information is essential. Is the picture of the press, an arm of documentary photography, which gives a great picture of the role of information, photojournalism. It is in photojournalism that photography can display all their ability to transmit information. And this information can be passed, with beauty, the simple framework that the photographer is able to do. Nothing happens today in printed communications without the endorsement of the photograph. There are basically four kinds of journalistic photography:
As fotografias sociais
Photographs social
In this category are included in the photo policy, economics and business, and pictures of events of general facts of the city, state and country, including a photograph of tragedy.
The photographs of sport
In this category, the amount of information is the most important and what affects their publication.
As fotografias culturais
Photographs cultural
This type of photography, is designed to draw attention to the news before it is read and the picture it is unique. This item can put a large second group, sports, photojournalism for the best-selling after the police are the sport.
As fotografias policiais
Photographs police
Many, almost all the newspapers to explore the sensationalist show accidents with death, marginal in the act, to sell more newspapers and make an average with subscribers. One can say that there is a rivalry between the papers to see which one that shows the most shocking scene in assault, death, accident large scale.
The picture in the media, especially in print (newspapers, magazines and brochures) is the most important, without an image the material is poor. The photograph in black and white published in newspapers, there is more than one hundred years and is one of the characteristics of photojournalism. Although, the color photography has gained ground in this category, the beginning of the 70 weekly magazines such as Look and Read (Brazilian magazine).
Peripheral vision
Over the time the reporters, cameras develop what we call peripheral vision, a greater degree of visao. degrees of vision increases reporter for being busy at a distance and near clear example of this is football, where both ends are used.
Fotojornalismo independente
Independent Photojournalism
The idea of independent photojournalism originated in France after World War II. He graduated from the photo agency with one goal: to have freedom of staff, discussing the work, to delve into the stories and especially to fight for copyright and ownership of the original negatives. The Agency Co-operative Magnum, founded in 1947 in Paris by four photographers: Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, David Seymour and George Rodger, was the pioneer. The movement to rebuild Europe and technological progress required the destruction of the war led to the creation of a new way to make and sell the picture and discuss its function. Paris, for its geographical and ideological importance, facilitated it. The creation of this new way of procuring images would change the history of photojournalism in the world.
News agencies
Over time, the news agencies are proliferated, and today many newspapers small and midsize agencies creating, managing their photographers to sell their work and networks for internal circulation newspapers fotografias.Podemos observe the images on the agency or abbreviation.
Paparazzi
Paparazzi
With the history of the death of Princess Diana was created a folklore about the Paparazzi, these photographers can get the opportunity to become famous because of their photos. Be placed with a camera in hand just to record an image that can yield much money, and also reputation.

In Brazil, the copyright law grants the photographer, can be the first of his life, but that has the name of the author. When looking renowned publications and those that are worth publishing in a corner of the photograph the photographer's name, even if accompanied by possible News Agency, as well as your communication vehicle. Photo credit mandatory in all publications, widely recognized as such where the photographer's name must appear on the site.
Fotografia publicada
Photograph published
Most of the media photographers independent gain for each published photo, so if they send dozens of photos and only one is published only receive it. For many, especially those who are starting something great to see your photo credit.
Lentes/Objetivas
Lenses / Lenses
To understand a bit of a 24mm objective equals 75graus and a 300mm lens equivalent to 12 graus.A fisheye, 12mm, shooting the legs and head. A 500mm (those we see in football games) can only shoot the goalie on the other side of the field futebol.Ou is, the lenses with lower values are considered to 50mm Wide Angles and values greater than 50mm is considered telephoto.
Photographer
Photographer is the person who take photos, using a camera. It is generally considered an artist, it makes your product (the photo) with the same dedication and the same way as any other visual artist.
Amadores e profissionais
Amateur and professional
When a particular author's photographs bases much of its income in this activity, is said to be a professional photographer.Sometimes, the adjective is used erroneously professional photography to enhance a particular image or expertise of an author. In fact, the picture quality is not always related to the fact that the author or not professional. Many amateurs perform regular images more successful than many professionals.Actually "professional" refers only to the profession of the author and not the quality of work. At the same time that a professional can do a bad job, we can understand better later in the piece of "art".The adjective amateur, when assigned to a photographer can have a very wide meaning. People who only photographs of his family and life, for personal use, consider themselves amateur photographers. Other amateur photographers get to publish books, conduct exhibitions and devote a lifetime to the study of photography.
Especializações do fotógrafo
Photographer specializations
Since nowadays the photograph is a wide range of issues and goals, there are spe. The photographer specializing best to master the technique of a particular type of photographic subject. The best-known specialties are the photo story (social events), fashion, photojournalism, landscape, portrait and advertising (the art of photography of objects in the studio).
Formation of a photographer
The training in photography at an art school can be achieved through a course in photography or more disciplines of photography courses in integrated art, design, painting, multimedia, film, journalism and so on. Usually these courses are geared to the pursuit of photography as art.A vocational school, training in photography is more geared to the pursuit of commercial photography as a profession.
Memory and Affect
Pictured is the absence, the memory, the separation of those who love, people who have died, those who disappeared.
For some people, photography is a pleasurable act, or appearing to be mimicking something that exists. For others, it is the need for continued contact, proximity, the desire that the relationship persists.
Strelczenia, 2001, quoted in Debray (1986, p. 60) notes that the image is born of death, and denial of nowhere and to prolong life, such that between the represented and its representation there is a transfer of the soul. The image is not a simple metaphor of the missing, but "a real metonymy, an extension sublimed, but his physical flesh.
" The photo makes people remember their past and are aware of who they are. The knowledge of the real and the essence of individual identity depends on memory. The memory links the past to the present, it helps to represent what happened at the time, because before uniting with now have the ability to see the transformation and somehow figure out what will come. The photograph captures a moment, reveals a moment, that is, the time does not stop running and have changes. When looking at a photograph is important to appreciate the jump between the time the object was clicked and the present in which we contemplate the image, but the time taken is able to contain the before and after.
Trust is, therefore, the ability of the camera to save the moments that are considered valuable. Taking pictures helps fight nothing, oblivion. To recall is necessary to retain some fragments of experience and forget the rest. Is rather the moments that are lost that we can save. According Strelczenia (2001), "Memory is recalling awards, making memorable if they are punished with forgetting.
Photographs to remember, because the events end and photographs remain, but do not know if those moments were significant in themselves or become memorable because they were photographed.
The memory is constitutive of the human condition ever since man has been busy producing signals that remain beyond the future, serving as a mark of existence and giving him direction. The photo brings more of what you see. It not only captures images of the world, but can register the "revealing gesture, the expression that sums up everything in life that accompanies the movement, but that a fixed image destroys the cut the time, if not essential to choose the fraction imperceptible" (Cortázar , 1986, p.30)
This whole field of interpretation that allows the photograph part of several factors, ingredients that act deep (not always visible) on the meaning of the image. According to Lucia Santaella and Winfried Nöth (2001), these are: the photographer, as agent, the photographer, the camera and the world, that is, taking pictures, the phenomenology of this act, as a machine, the photograph itself; the ratio of the picture with respect to the distribution gallery, that is, their reproduction, the reception of the picture, the act of seeing it.
It is in the photo shoot that the person seeking the thrill, something that it never makes sense. Photography is able to hurt, to move or animate a person. For each she offers a kind of affection. In the composition of meaning of the picture, according to Barthes (1984), there are three main factors: the photographer (operator), the object (spectrum) and the observer (spectator). The photographer sets his sights on the subject, he infects and causes the photos from his point of view. The object (or model) is changing in front of a lens, simulating something that is not. In the case of the observer, it generates more than one field of meaning, releasing all of their songs and changing again the image.
Barthes (1984, p. 45) also notes the presence of two elements in the picture, what the photographer wanted to convey is called studium, that is, the obvious, what is intended. Even when there is a detail that was not pre-produced by the author, is called the punctum. The latter creates a different meaning to the observer, it hurts, crosses, affects their interpretation. To recognize the studium is inevitably find the intentions of the photographer, into harmony with them, adopt them, dicutir them in myself, because culture (with which concerns the studium) is a contract between creators and consumers . (...) In this second element that is contrary to the studium then call punctum. This time, I am I going to search it, is it part of the scene, like an arrow, and has run through me (Barthes, 1984, p. 48).
Through photographs revealing the ability to obtain whole layers and emotions that are hidden in memory. You can also discover and acquire new meanings that those moments were not explicit.
The images are apparently silent. Where, however, provoke and lead to a multitude of discourses around them.
(Henri Cartier-Bresson)
Photography as art
Man has always tried to retain and secure movements of the world, starting with cave drawings, through painting on canvas and sculpture, and finally reaching the photo. This is a means of mass communication and is very popular today and born in the Industrial Revolution.
According to Barthes (1984, p. 21), many do not consider art to be easily produced and reproduced, but its soul is true to interpret reality, not just copy it. In it there are a number of symbols organized by the artist and the receiver interprets and complete with more symbols of their repertoire.
Making Photography is not just press the trigger. There must be sensitivity, recording a unique, singular. Photographer recreates the external world of reality through a esthetics.
In a world dominated by visual communication, photography is only to add, may or may not art, it all depends on the context of the moment, the icons involved in the image. It is for the observer to interpret the image, add it to your repertoire and feeling.
"To photograph is to put in the same line of sight to the head, eye and heart."
(Henri Cartier-Bresson)

But do not worry: this article, we translate the most common terms when talking about cameras, their types and uses. Moreover, we can lend a hand in choosing the best type of camera to your wishes, without fear of being cheated by vendors or technology that promises do not suit you. Check!

Tipos de câmeras fotográficas
Types of cameras

Before you buy a new camera or even to better understand the camera you have at home, it is important to know the difference between the various types of cameras. These are the most common:

Point-and-shoot: these are the famous compact automatic. It is the most common type, compact and with limited resources manuals. They are usually small, and in recent years have been given fewer buttons, focusing more on the size of the viewfinder. The flash is built into these cameras and the lens, which can not be changed. The name in English means "point and shoot," which marks the spirit of these cameras, which focus and calibrate the light without the photographer has to worry about these details. Several of these cameras also record video.
Bridge / Superzoom: These cameras are similar to DSLR - calm, we have already explained what are these, but make no mistake: they are cameras point-and-shoot metidas the beast. They are compact machines, but generally have larger lenses and give a little more freedom to the photographer. Unfortunately, like the compact machines, they have a slight delay in time to take the picture. Although they are a little different from ordinary compact, these cameras are not cheap, which leads us to suggest that you consider buying a camera the next type.

DSLRs: This acronym stands for "Digital Single Lens Reflex", which basically means that this camera has a mechanism with mirrors that allow the photographer to see through the camera lens. The DSLRs work as film cameras, but they are digital: its lenses can be exchanged, and the photographer has more control over the images that strip. In this type of camera, the picture is taken instantly without any delay, as in point-and-shoot. Some new cameras such filming videos in high definition with excellent results, due to the camera lens. Despite the good quality, these cameras can not be considered a substitute for traditional video cameras, because they have an auto focus setting appropriate. These are the cameras used by professional photographers and most people with an interest in photography, since it allows more manual control over the quality and characteristics of the photo. For this reason, the DSLRs are much more expensive than point-and-shoot, but are getting cheaper. You can find Nikon, Canon, Olympus and Sony for about $ 1500.
Telemetric Cameras: This type of camera has interchangeable lenses, but do not have DSLR system, which means that the photographer sees the image through the camera screen, and not by direct display of the lens. They have similarities with the DSLR, but use the same system to display the point-and-shoot. They are smaller than the DSLR, but promise more versatility and quality to the images of the compact common. Most of these cameras record video with good quality and simplicity. Some cameras of this type have the appearance of DSLRs, and others have the face of common compact, so let's keep an eye out for when buying a camera, not to take one thing thinking it is another. This category of cameras still have a few types, and are more expensive than other cameras. The only brands that have telemetric cameras are Panasonic and Olympus.
A gente explica!
Characteristics cameras Resolution, ISO, sensors, what is all this? We explain!

The sensor is part of the camera that records the image. Essentially the sensor is the camera.
Megapixels and image resolution: simplifying, one megapixel is formed by a thousand pixels - dots that make up digital images. If an image or a megapixel sensor was square, would have 1000 × 1000 pixels. Since the cameras have sensors rectangular, with proportions of 4:3 or 3:2, the resolution of these are 2048 × 1536 pixels for a camera of 3 megapixels of resolution, or 3264 × 2448 pixels on an 8-megapixel camera, for example. With the modernization of digital cameras, however, this number means less and less: it is easy to squeeze in a megapixel camera, but without a good lens and sensitivity to light, that does not mean that images are good and clear. Several cell phones have cameras up to 5 megapixels, but the small lenses and bad most of them causes the image is not too different cameras bad. In addition, a camera point-and-shoot more than 10 megapixel pictures can be blurred to a DSLR camera with fewer megapixels. The high resolution only matters if your intention is to print copies giants or if you need to make cuts in your images. However, even under these conditions, the number of pixels only matters to a point, then the difference is minimal. Unless you need to print billboards, not worry too much about these numbers. The number of pixels a camera can help date a camera: the newest pixel resolutions are higher, and that may be linked to new sensors that can help the image quality. In other words, need not worry too much about the number of pixels of a camera, but stay tuned to the features that come along with it.
ISO: ISO mark the camera's sensitivity to light: the higher the ISO that it reaches, the lower the amount of light needed to take a picture. The high ISO is very useful for night images, but also helps in daytime photos of moving images. The problem is that the higher the ISO, the greater the noise in the images - some digital point-and-shoot, for example, are advertising ISOs up to 6400, but that basically ruins the image. The noise can be seen mainly in close observation of the image, and make the image is blurred. In analog cameras, the ISO or ASA, responsible for the sensitivity of the film, were chosen in advance to suit the lighting conditions that would be photographed. In digital, the concept is used similarly. Although some DSLR cameras arrive at ISOs up to 6400 with virtually no noise, do not buy a camera taking into account only this feature, but analysis and the quality of images made with the highest sensitivity.
CCD and CMOS: these are the two main types of sensors for digital cameras. The differences between the two types are irrelevant to the choice of sensors. What you need to know is that DSLRs use CMOS because it is easier to make larger sensors of this type. Cameras used in mobile phones, in turn, have sensors of this type because it requires less energy to operate. Most compact automatic use CCD sensors, although this type of sensor is already used in some cameras DSLRs.

White balance: You ever take any photos inside the house that was completely and inexplicably orange? This is a problem with white balance the camera: your camera can be adjusted to compensate for the different temperatures of light - sunlight can make the photos more blue, while the bulbs make the image look a little orange. Most cameras have white balance preset, but it's good that it can be adjusted manually.

Óptica
Optics
This is the part that deals with the lenses of the cameras, which are basically the photographic eye of these machines.
Interchangeable lenses (or exchangeable): There are two types of interchangeable lenses in general. Some have a zoom function, and others not. They are classified by the focal length, the minimum distance to the lens to get focus. In general, the focal length is related to the physical size of the lens, and helps to show how it enhances an image. Cameras with focal length of 18mm is considered normal, while the 200mm or more are the tele-objective, used to shoot objects at great distances - like those giant lens used at football matches.
Lenses of compact automatic: beyond the number that displays the number of megapixels the camera point-and-shoot, these cameras are also a lot of propaganda on the amount of zoom can capture it. This number is usually indicated with an "x": 5x, 10x, and so on. The camera also shows the focal length of lens, for example, 5.5-25mm. Dividing the largest number of focal length by the lower, the distance you can zoom. The problem is that these tables are a bit misleading: in the same camera, a lens that goes from 50mm to 100mm would be a 2x lens, while a lens that goes from 18mm to 42 mm would be a 3x zoom. The detail is that, even at a greater distance, the second camera would not go so far as the 50mm at its shortest distance. Always take this into account when considering a camera, and always test the zoom - you'll see the difference easily, and can choose which camera best fits your needs.
Shutter, shutter speed: The shutter is the "door" that opens between the lens and the camera's sensor, allowing light to enter and make a photographic exhibition. The shutter is placed in advertisements for cameras primarily to show the consumer that it will be useful for various purposes, with speeds of ten seconds or even 1 / 4000 (ie, a fraction of 1 / 4000 of a second). With the longest opening, the light comes for ten seconds, allowing more lighting effects and blurred the picture. The shortest time, you can get pictures of fast moving objects with a frozen effect. However, it is important that you know that speed alone will not have important effects on the photo: the speed of the camera to reach 1 / 4000 but she has a small diaphragm (next topic) and a low ISO, the photos will be very dark .
Quanto menor for o tempo causado pelo atraso do obturador, melhor é a câmera.
Shutter Lag: remember that we commented on the delay that have compact automatic? It's that uncomfortable moment when you press the button and the picture is actually taken only after you have moved the hand, ruining the image. The shorter the time delay caused by the shutter, the better the camera. However, the camera manufacturers do not advertise it, so to find out about it, you need to test the camera.
Diaphragm: the diaphragm of the camera is the hole through which light passes between the lens and sensor. The larger the aperture, but light comes into the picture, and the smaller, less light. Larger apertures allow images with less light, but allow a small area of focus, leaving the front or back of the main subject out of focus. Smaller apertures require more light to work without leaving the dark image, but allow a greater focus. The diaphragm is described by numbers that begin with "f". The higher the number, the smaller the opening, because it represents the division between the diameter of the diaphragm with the focal length of the lens. Diaphragm f32, for example, is more closed than the f1.4.
Optical zoom x digital zoom: Optical zoom is done from the increase of the image with the use of lenses, and is the "true" zoom. The digital zoom, in turn, is only an increase of the image that is seen in the camera's sensor, without the lens really brings the picture closer. Digital zoom is only useful to improve the framework for a photo or to help find the best focus image, but it is the equivalent of stretching a picture on your computer.
Image formats: if the analog cameras watched the images on film, the prints also have to go somewhere. The digital photos are saved in JPEG or RAW. JPEG files are compressed so that it does not occupy much space, but the images lose quality this way. Compact automatic record images as well, and most of the DSLR also record as such, generally. Since RAW files contain almost all that was captured by the camera sensor, which allows the photographer to change things as time of exposure, white balance and color after taking the picture. However, these files are much heavier, depending on the type of file recorded in RAW, you must use special software to view and edit images. The trick is shoot using RAW files, if you can, buy a camera that has this feature - most of the cameras that record the RAW files also allow images to be saved in JPEG, then the choice is up to each when you want to shoot.

Video: Much of modern cameras, including some DSLRs, shoot video. However, it is because your camera takes pictures with 10 megapixels that it will make good quality videos. Most cameras point-and-shoot has video settings file in VGA recording at 640 × 480 pixels video - which is a good size for posting on YouTube, for example. However, for higher quality, some DSLRs and even more compact modern record in 720p or 1080p HD resolutions, equivalent to 1280 × 720 pixels and 1920 × 1080, respectively.
