Canon has just announced its response to the launch of Nikon d3s. The new Canon EOS 1D Mark IV comes with 16 megapixels of resolution and ability to make movies in high definition. All this using a CMOS sensor, APS-H crop factor of 1.3x and two DIGIC IV processors, allowing the camera has a capacity of image processing six times higher than the previous DIGIC III. The main changes suggested by the Canon's launch of the new equipment is the advanced autofocus system with 45 points, with 39 points are in the format cross. The company also ensures that the new system AI Servo AF II to focus on a moving subject when the continuous photo mode is being used (maximum of 10 frames per second). Another novelty is in relation to performance in high ISO. Although the pixel size has decreased compared to the previous release, Canon ensures that the new processing technology will ensure a smaller amount of noise in low-light shooting. The sensitivity of native new camera goes from ISO 100 to 12,800, but can reach up to 102,400 using the settings of expansion (Enhanced H3). Another thing that caught my attention was the way of video recording. The maximum resolution of video that the camera can deliver is 1920 x 1080 pixels with 29, 25 or 23 frames per second. So far so good, but the equipment also makes movies in standard VGA (640 x 480) with up to 54 frames per second. I imagine someone doing video for the internet with such a camera. Other specifications that meet the new equipment are the new display 3-inch LCD with 920,000 pixels and the new system for cleaning the sensor now also has a layer of fluoride on the Low Pass filter to repel dust. Information about the durability of the shutter were not placed on the official announcement, but should be around 200 to 250 thousand clicks. However, one feature that I found amazing was that one has to do with image quality. You can enter information on Copyright in the camera, making the exif of every photo is done with the photographer's name and the charges for use that image has. This eliminates the need to be entering information at the time of image editing. You can also insert audio notes on each image using the built-in microphone equipment. The new Canon EOS 1D Mark IV will be available in December at an estimated price of U.S. $ 4999.00, body only. The official website of Canon in Japan has launched a gallery with 5 new images taken by camera in original size. Unfortunately, the higher ISO images is found in the 3200, but already you can feel the quality of the equipment. Source: Dpreview
