Voce sabia?

Nos idos de 1700 e tanto, a fotossensibilidade de certos derivados de prata chamou a atenção dos cientistas britânicos Sir Humphry Davy e Thomas Wedgwood. Usando papel revestido com cloreto de prata, eles conseguiram reproduzir silhuetas de folhas e perfis humanos. Só que estas fotos primitivas não eram permanentes. O papel ficava completamente negro com a luz.


Foi somente cento e poucos anos mais tarde que o inventor americano George Eastman, o trisavô de Linda Eastman, a esposa de Paul McCartney, conseguiu produzir um filme fotográfico, numa longa tira de papel revestido com uma emusão sensível.


Aperfeicoando seu invento em 1885, aos 31 anos de idade, George colocou no mercado a primeira câmera fotográfica do mundo fabricada em série: A Kodak.


Nos dias de hoje a fotografia está tão presente, que nem dá pra imaginar com seria viver sem ela. No minímo ela faz uma grande diferença para a imprensa (lembra aquela história que uma imagem vale mais que mil palavras?), é uma ferramenta muito importante para o avanço da tecnologia e da própria ciência. Mas é tambem uma forma de arte e um hobby dos mais populares do mundo.

Back in 1700 and both the photosensitivity of certain derivatives of silver caught the attention of the British scientists Sir Humphry Davy and Thomas Wedgwood. Using paper coated with silver chloride, they were able to reproduce silhouettes of leaves and human profiles. But these early pictures were not permanent. The paper was completely black with light. It was only a few hundred years later the American inventor George Eastman, the great-grandfather of Linda Eastman, the wife of Paul McCartney, succeeded in producing a photographic film in a long strip of paper coated with a sensitive emusão. Perfecting his invention in 1885, to 31 years old, George had put in place the first camera in the world produced in series: Kodak. Today the picture is so present, that neither One would imagine would be to live without it. At least it makes a big difference for the press (remember the story that a picture is worth a thousand words?) Is a very important tool for advancement of technology and science. But it is also an art form and one of the most popular hobby in the world.
